Day 1 of DSS: Seeding with r(E)volutionaries

What you don’t track, you don’t improve. I’m tracking progress and updates of my experience and reflection on Design Science Studio. Our regenera•rising Showcase is on May 1, 2024. That’s 197 days of absolute rigor and passion.

On Tuesday, October 17, 2023, the 3rd coheArt Design Science Studio Incubator program kicked off. There were over 100+ r(E)volutionaries representing 26+ different countries. I feel immense gratitude for being a part of this remarkable collective that's actively contributing to the positive change we aspire to see in the world. The room is imbued with an electric atmosphere of love and care, and our shared purpose is to foster each other's growth and nurture our seed dreams.

After an expressive dance and meditation, we were posed with the question, "What seed (or seeds) for the future do you carry with you as you enter today?" We collectively listed a diverse range of intentions and I wrote: Love, Earthship Dome, Sustainability, Wisdom, Power, Beauty, Sovereignty, Prime Alignment, Service, Co-Liberation, Joy, Bliss, Fun, Growth, Expansion, Harmony, Balance, and Truth.

What brought you here and what potential are you cultivating?

Previously, I was in a 6-month program called SoulSelf Sovereign Expansion Immersive Program with ErikaLaila Whitney. I had vivid visions of a Gaian wellness sanctuary where our bodies can heal in peace; where the walls were made out of soil; where you can lay down and feel the cradle of creation beneath you; where the whole space is a Living Altar.

With that, I’m building an Earthship dome with natural materials as a wellness center. It’s a holistic space for healing, connection, and conscious exploration. This is a (r)Evolutionary project that prioritizes ontological design and sustainable architecture.

Key Takeaways
  • Radical Participation. “The community is the project and you’re designing your own experience. So the journey is the destination.”
  • Ikigai. What is your reason for being?
  • New Resources. Someone from my breakout group recommended a sustainability education center called Rancho Mastatal
